When Your Body Holds the Story
When you’ve experienced trauma—whether from a single event or years of ongoing stress—it’s not just your mind that carries the weight.
Your body holds it, too.
You might notice:
-
Ongoing tension or chronic pain
-
Sleep problems
-
Anxiety or panic
-
Digestive issues
-
Feeling constantly “on edge”
-
Emotional numbness or disconnection
These are not weaknesses. They are nervous system survival responses.
Over time, though, they can become exhausting.

What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a subtle, hands-on therapy designed to calm and regulate the nervous system.
Using very light, non-invasive touch, CST helps:
-
Release deep physical tension
-
Support nervous system balance
-
Create a felt sense of safety
-
Restore connection between body and mind
For many trauma survivors, CST becomes a powerful complement to counseling—especially when words feel like too much… or not enough.
Craniosacral Therapy works with the body’s craniosacral system, which includes:
-
The bones of the head and spine
-
The tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord
-
The flow of cerebrospinal fluid
These systems influence how we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally.
But you don’t need to understand anatomy to benefit.
From your perspective, a session feels like quiet, supported rest.
How does Craniosacral Therapy Work?
During a Session
-
You remain fully clothed. You lie comfortably on a treatment table.
-
The therapist places their hands gently on areas such as your head, neck, back, or sacrum.
-
The touch is extremely light—about the weight of a nickel.
There’s no force, no manipulation, no “fixing.”
The intention is to listen, support, and invite your nervous system into a more regulated state.

-
Warmth or tingling
-
Gentle physical releases
-
Emotional shifts
-
A sense of relief or calm
-
Tears that feel releasing
Sometimes you may not feel much during the session—but notice later that you’re sleeping better, moving more freely, or responding to stress differently.
There is no “right” experience. Your body knows what it needs. CST simply makes space for that wisdom to unfold.

What Healing Can Look Like
Healing with Cranialsacral Therapy isn’t dramatic or forceful. It’s subtle. Steady. Often quiet. It looks like your nervous system slowly realizing it doesn’t have to stay on guard. It looks like your body softening in ways it hasn’t in years.
We offer CST in a fully trauma-informed way.
That means:
-
We move slowly.
-
We stay in communication.
-
Your boundaries are always honored.
-
You are in control of your session.
We understand that even gentle touch can feel vulnerable. That’s why we prioritize warmth, consent, and deep respect. You never have to push your body to do anything it isn’t ready for.
